Advancing energy security & transition

Let's connect

The energy landscape is evolving rapidly. At Nogat, we believe that infrastructure plays a vital role to ensure an effective energy transition. We see opportunities for consolidation of North Sea pipeline networks to strengthen NW-European energy security and infrastructure resilience. Moreover, natural gas pipelines can be utilized today to decarbonize our energy mix by blending low-carbon sources and re-used tomorrow for distribution of pure hydrogen and CO2.

We foster public-private cooperation to develop new value chains for natural gas import and sustainable and low-carbon energy. We invite energy stakeholders to engage with us. Together, we can explore how our infrastructure and expertise can support your plans and projects. Let’s discuss possibilities, share insights, and build the future of energy – efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

"The Nogat gas pipeline is strategically located in the North Sea. We see opportunities for the integration and reuse of offshore energy infrastructure to enhance energy security, improve the resilience of import networks, and support long-term climate goals."

Our strategic gas pipelines are certified for Hydrogen transport

We believe natural gas will continue to play an important role as transition fuel over the next decades. At the same time, we are exploring possibilities for re-use of our pipelines for transport of green and lower-carbon gas and hydrogen, as well as CO2 for storage purposes.

Since 2018 Nogat has materially invested into studies and offshore (EMAT) inspections to test the suitability of our pipelines for hydrogen. This resulted into a Certificate of Fitness (NEN3656 compliant) for the transport of hydrogen issued by Bureau Veritas. By re-using existing infrastructure, we are able to make the energy transition faster, cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
